Leonie Hatcher Mundy

Leonie Hatcher Mundy, 96 of 106 Allgood St., died Thursday April 25, 2013.

She was born in Charlotte County, Va., the daughter of the late James Goode Hatcher and Mary Willie Ferrell Hatcher. She was the wife of the late Fleming H. Mundy. She was preceded in death by 12 siblings and one grandchild, Randall Horner.

Mrs. Mundy worked in Longhurst Cotton Mill as a spinner until retiring. She was also a caregiver to many elderly people and loved to clean for people. She loved to work in her flowers and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughters Mary Ann Horner and husband, Richard of Roxboro, Jean Regan and husband, Rassie of Roxboro, five grandchildren Donald Horner and wife, Vicky; Richard Horner and wife, Inez; Michael Horner and wife, Anna; Ronald Regan Sr., and wife, Bonnie; and Tammy Whitt and husband, Doyle; eight great-grandchildren, Kelli Horner and fiancee, Scot Brooks, Ronald Regan Jr. and wife Jenna, Brian Horner, Alan Regan, Taylor Whitt, Dalton Whitt and Samantha Horner; two great-great-grandchildren Ronald “Tripp” Regan III and Cayden Kearney.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, just prior to the service at Brooks & White Chapel and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Jean and Rassie Regan, 40 John D. Winstead Road, Roxboro, NC 27574

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Ross Thompson. Interment will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Regan Jr., Alan Regan, Taylor Whitt, Dalton Whitt, Brian Horner and Scot Brooks.
