Chad Eric Pergerson

Rougemont — Chad Eric Pergerson, 37, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013.

Born in Durham County, Mr. Pergerson was the son of the late Fred “Pete” Pergerson and Jeanette Bowling Pergerson, who survives, of Rougemont.

Mr. Pergerson was a fireman with the City of Roxboro Fire Department and also a volunteer fireman with the Moriah Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Honor Guard with the City of Roxboro Fire Department. He raced cars at Orange County Speedway and was an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Pergerson is survived by his wife, Jamie Mooney Pergerson; his daughter, Brianna Grace Pergerson; his sister, Sharon “Sherry” Gill and husband, Lee of Rougemont; and his niece, Erica Sumner.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 21, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church by the Rev. Barry Chambers. Burial followed in the Bowling Family Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church prior to the service.

Pallbearers were the members of the Roxboro Fire Department Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers were fireman.
