Tommy Joseph Wolfe

Scottsburg, Va. — Tommy Joseph Wolfe, 66, of 1204 Long Branch Lane, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.

Born in Person County, Mr. Wolfe was the son of the late Ira Joseph Wolfe and Clarice Clayton Wolfe, who survives, of Hurdle Mills.

Mr. Wolfe was employed by Thompson’s Insulation and previously by Brown and Root, Zachary, and Climate Control. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Navy Seebeas during the Vietnam War.

In addtion to his mother, Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife, Sheila I. Wolfe; three children, Michelle W. Martin and husband, Mark, of Hurdle Mills, Brian Wolfe and wife, Georgiana of Roxboro, and Jason Wolfe and wife, Maranda, of Hurdle Mills; two step-sons, Timmy Goddnight and wife, Melissa of Monroe, Mich. and Glen Goodnight and wife, Sherry, of Britten, Mich.; three brothers, Ronnie Wolfe and wife, Ann of Hurdle Mills, Mike Wolfe and wife, Mary of Raleigh and Mark Wolfe of Bunn; two sisters, Vicki Watkins and husband, Harry of Wilmington and Pam Blaylock and husband, Mike of Roxboro; nine grandchildren, Cody Martin, Tanner Martin, Havan Harris, Kaylee Bray, Hannah Day, Clare Wolfe, Harlen Day, Courtney Gentry and Carly Wolfe; five step-grandchildren, Gabrielle Goodnight, Hope Goodnight, Shelby Goodnight, Linsay Goodnight and Nikki Goodnight; and his beloved dog, Angel.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Jeff Worldley. Burial followed in Clement Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Harold Thompson, Randy Dunkley, Bobby Whitfield, Peyton Humphries, Harry Watkins and Kevin Wolfe.
