Laurie Ann Wallace-Atkins

Laurie Ann Wallace-Atkins, age 44, of 393 Burlington Road died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home.  
She was born in Person County. She attended Westwood Baptist Church. Laurie got her airline stewardess degree and also graduated from PCC with several degrees ... criminal justice, journalism and received her CNA license.  She had a talent and love for writing, she was a published poetry writer. Laurie enjoyed going to various nursing homes and reading to the residents. She dearly loved her family.
Surviving include her father, Donald Lee Wallace Jr. and wife, Jeanette;  her mother, Linda Riley Gill and husband, Bruce; her maternal grandmother, Mary Stone Riley; her son, Tyler Wayne Atkins; her sister and step sister, Lisa Wallace Dunn and Tina Albright; her brother-in-law, Bradley Dwayne Dunn Sr.; two special nephews, Bradley Dwayne Dunn Jr. and Austin Brett Dunn; two step nieces, Elizabeth and Mary Grace Albright; aunts and uncles and cousins and  her special friend, Alan Foushee.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at Brooks & White Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Burchwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Riley, Dustin Dunn, Joe Riley, Larry Davis, Byron Whitfield and Henry Gill.
