Roxboro Community School (RCS) will host Bulldog Day on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Bulldog Day supports the RCS athletic program. The event brings in money that helps pay for officials, the costs of the soccer and lacrosse field, and game supplies.

“Hopefully, this year will be the best,” said Pete Tuck, RCS athletic director.

The day will start with the annual 5k run/walk at 9 a.m. T-shirts will be available. There will be barbecued chicken plates with two choices of vegetables, a roll, and dessert for $8. Popcorn, cotton candy, lemonade, and homemade ice cream will also be available.

There are plenty of activities planned for Bulldog Day, including a car wash, water slide, grass volleyball tournament, a DJ, performances by the RCS cheer team, and more.“

We expect more participation than ever for a funfilled day,” said Tuck.
