Willard Benjamn Dickerson

Willard Benjamn “W.B.” Dickerson, age 52, of 417 North Main Street, Roxboro, died Friday morning, Oct. 21, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Dickerson was born July 6, 1964 in Person County to the late Jean Demsey “J.D.” Dickerson and Eunice Abbitt “Pinky” Dickerson who survives and was husband of nearly 26 years to Sharon Lynn Carver Dickerson who also survives.  
He was supervisor and part owner of Abbitt-Dickerson Properties and was a member of New Life Independent Baptist Church.    
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a son, Jacob Kyle Dickerson of the home, daughter, Specialist Ashley Morgan Dickerson of Durham, two sisters, Diane Jeffries and husband, Donald of Timberlake, and Jean D. Braswell and husband, Kevin of Roxboro; nephew, Keith Ray Ferguson and mother-in-law, Kathleen Carver.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Roxboro Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Evan Walker and Pastor Mike Whitt.  Interment will follow in the New Life Independent Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Strickland and Jones Memorial Funeral Services and other times at the home.    
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carver Jr., Chuck Ford, Michael Lewis, Errol Lockhart, Cliff Porterfield and Michael Whitt Jr.  
Jack Capps, Dennis Daniels, Tracy Kirby and Ron Phipps will serve as honorary pallbearers.
