With the new gym up and running, Roxboro Community School (RCS) is introducing indoor soccer as an athletic option for middle and high school girls during the winter season.

The gym will be used for indoor soccer on weekends from 4 to 6 p.m. and all RCS girls are welcome to participate.

The first pick-up game was this week.

According to high school girls’ soccer coach Tim Ess, with this being the first year RCS has introduced indoor soccer, it will be a more fun and laid back athletic experience that will also act as conditioning for those interested in playing soccer in the spring.

There will be indoor soccer games today, both for middle and high school girls, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Anyone interested in participating should contact Ess.
