RCS hosts second blood drive

Photo by Delaney Sullivan Photo by Delaney Sullivan A blood drive was held at Roxboro Community School (RCS) on Tuesday, Feb. 21. This was the second and last blood drive that RCS will hold for the 2016-17 school year. The event was organized by seniors Katelyn Melton and Katie Pleasant (pictured). With help from Red Cross staff members, the RCS community donated 32 units of blood. “Just one unit of blood can save a life,” said Pleasant. Several other RCS students, Brison Jones, Karson Mackenzie, and Cassie May helped pass out snacks.
