Man on the Street: Senior athletes have mixed feelings about graduating

Brittany Smith Brittany Smith We asked RCS seniors what it was like going into their last year playing a sport for RCS. Here are their answers.

Brittany Smith

Smith has been playing soccer for RCS for seven years.

“I’m going to miss the interactions I have with my teammates and the bonds I’ve made with them. I don’t know yet if I’m going to play for college.”

Seth Gentry

Gentry has been playing baseball for RCS for seven years.

“I’m going to miss my team. I might play in college but it won’t be the same.”

Marshall Duncan

Duncan has been playing baseball for RCS since eighth grade.

Megan Carroll

Carroll has been playing soccer for RCS for five years.

“I’m excited to see what’s going to happen but I’m sad to leave my teammates. I might play club next year if I have the opportunity.”

Josh Adcock

Adcock has been playing baseball for RCS for seven years.

“I’m upset. These are my friends and I won’t play with them again. Maybe I’ll play in college, I don’t know yet.”

Andrew Horton

Horton has been playing golf for RCS for two years.


Marshall Duncan Marshall Duncan “This year is disappointing because I want to play one more year. I hope I can play recreationally.”

Trey Drumwright

Drumwright has been playing golf for RCS for two years.

“I’m grateful that I’ve been able to play for RCS.”

CJ Rios

Rios has been playing lacrosse for RCS for three years.

“I’m sad that this is my last year. I’m going to miss playing next year in college.”

Caleb Vanek

Vanek has been playing lacrosse for RCS for seven years.

“I’ve really enjoyed playing with my bros. Although I won’t play next year, lax will always be a part of me.”
