Bulldogs edge Wolves, 1-0

The Roxboro Community School middle school soccer move to first place in its conference with Monday’s 1-0 win against the Woods Charter in Chapel Hill.

RCS took an early lead with a goal by Dulce Garcia, assisted by Emma Duncan.

The team’s defense, led by eight-grade goalie Kailie Azbill, held off the Wolves to earn the team’s sixth clean sheet for the season.

Azbill has been in the goal for all six games. RCS has only allowed its opponents to score only three goals this season.

The Bulldogs play home on Thursday, at 4:30 p.m. against Kestrel Heights and on the road in Burlington against River Mill Academy Friday at 4 p.m.
