Lila Maude T. Pulliam


Lila Maude T. Pulliam, 89, of Roxboro, died Monday, June 12, 2017.  
Born in Person County, Mrs. Pulliam was the daughter of the late Tommie and Minnie W. Taylor and wife of the late Talmadge L. Pulliam for 43 years.  
Mrs. Pulliam retired from Tultex and was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by three brothers, Earlie Taylor, Burnice Taylor and Frank Taylor and one sister, Mallie T. Painter Chambers.
Mrs. Pulliam is survived by two sisters, Lillian T. McKee of Timberlake and Mattie T. Ashby and husband Chelves of Roxboro; and a number of nieces and nephews, whom she dearly loved.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 15, at Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. Herbert Brown. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery.  
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks & White Chapel prior to the service and at other times at the home of Chelves and Mattie Ashby, 470 Tanglewood Cir., Roxboro.
Pallbearers will be Randy Pulliam, Travis Brooks, Danny Painter, Bobby Painter, Robert Flath, and Tommie Taylor.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for the care shown to Mrs. Pulliam.
