John Bradsher Bowling

John Bradsher “J.B.” Bowling, age 74, of 345 Gravitte Road, Roxboro, died Tuesday night, Sept. 19, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Bowling was born Aug. 25, 1943 in Person County, son of the late John Henry and Ethel Frances Clayton Bowling and was husband of 53 years to Mary Amender Bowes Bowling who survives.  
He was retired from Collins & Aikman Corp. after more than 30 years of service and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. J.B. enjoyed all sports, golf, basketball, football, NASCAR and was a very avid Duke fan.      
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, J.W. Bowling and wife, Kelly, and Scott Bowling; two daughters, April Bowling and Jenny Murgueitio all of Roxboro; brother, Jack Dennis Bowling; three sisters, Peggy B. Holt and husband, James, Judy B. Lee and husband, J.C. and Evon B. Clayton and husband, Don, all of Roxboro; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowling was preceded in death by a brother, George Marion Bowling.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis McDonald officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tyler Barts, Chris Bowes, Carmen Bowling, John “Bo” Bowling, Donnie Clayton and Kevin Long.  Serving as honorary pallbearers was Cory Bowling and Scottie Bowling.
