2017-11-25 / Word on the Street

Editor’s note: Each week, we are venturing out onto the streets of Roxboro looking for Personians to feature and to answer our question of the week for one of our regular features, Word on the Street.

This week’s question: What is the right age to get married?

Shirley Denney

When you are mature enough to handle all the ups and downs, because you need to be ready for it or it will never work.

Jennifer Campbell

I think between 25 and 30. I was young when I got married and learned a lot from my mistakes.

Daphne Allen
Person County

25. By then you should have figured out what you want to do in life and are better able to settle down, to start a new life with a companion. By then you should have your priorities in order.

Whitney Lunsford

35. Because then you have your youthful experiences out of the way, got all your traveling out of the way, and have gotten to a settling point.
