Jackie Carver

Jackie Carver, 80, of 1422 Elm St., died Monday, March 12, 2018.  Born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, Mrs. Carver was the daughter of the late Stanly and Flora Davis Arthur and wife of the late Earl H. Carver.  Mrs. Carver retired after 25 years at South Elementary School.  She was a member of Roxboro Church of God where she served as church secretary for over 20 years.

Mrs. Carver is survived by her children, Randall K. Carver (Lynette), and Debora Harrelson, of Timberlake; two brothers, Randolph Arthur, of Lynchburg, Virginia and Larry Arthur, of Reidsville; two sisters, Shelba Womack, of South Boston, Virginia and Arlean Hudgins, of Greensboro; seven grandchildren, Bud Harrelson, Mary Jayne Reeves (Jon), Sarah Delap (Bret), John Henry Harrelson (Katy), Earl Chance Harrelson, Kenneth Carver (Caroline) and Maria Cuenca (Daniel); five great-grandchildren, Finn Delap, Lily Harrelson, Maggie Harrelson, Elsie Reeves, and Carver Reeves.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Pastor Mike Whitt.  Visitation will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Earl H. & Jackie Carver Scholarship Fund, c/o the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, NC, 27565.
