Victoria Jalissa Bradsher Daniel

Victoria Jalissa Bradsher Daniel, the daughter of Carl and Judy Snipes Bradsher, was born August 12, 1991 in the Women’s Hospital in Greensboro. She was called home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Elizabeth City, following a pedestrian-car accident.

Victoria attended South Elementary, Southern Middle School and was a 2009 graduate of Person High School. Following high school, she enrolled in Elizabeth City State University where she graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and was working as a Child Support Officer at the Department of Social Services in Hillsborough. Prior to her position in Hillsborough, she worked as a sales associate at Macy’s in Northgate Mall, Clerk for the Granville County Board of Elections and the Child Support Office in Oxford.

Victoria enjoyed life and was often told by family and friends that she should have taken her show on the road. She had a special skill to make you smile from the inside out. She loved working in her church and was baptized at the age of ten. She was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Youth Missionaries, Youth Choir, the Sons & Daughters of Ruth and just recently began helping her mother and grandmother clean the church for services. She enjoyed playing in the middle and high school band, especially in the high school competition band, playing sports, fishing with her family, spending time with her friends, and she loved attending Viking Fest!

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Andrew T. Snipes, Sr.; maternal uncle, Andrew M. Snipes, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Bob and Tressa Jones Bradsher; and paternal aunt, Sherry Dean Bradsher. She also was preceded in death by her special grandparent, Beulah Brooks.

Victoria met and married the love of her life, Mr. Torrey Kevone Daniel on June 18, 2016.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her husband Torrey; her parents, Carl and Judy Snipes Bradsher; her sister, Carla J. Bradsher; her special cousin that she treated like a brother, Kendrick D. Thorpe, Jr.; her mother and father-in-law, Patricia A. Daniel of Enfield and Gregory Tann, Sr. of Roanoke Rapids; her sisters-in-law, Denise Daniel, also of Enfield, Olivia Tann and Khadiesha Tann and Mya Allen of Rocky Mount; brother-in-law, Gregory Tann, Jr., also of Roanoke Rapids;  her maternal grandmother, Ann Lester Snipes; her special granddad, Robert Brooks of Maryland; her grandmother-in-law, Lillian Daniel of Enfield; grandfather-in-law, David Wilkins of Brooklyn, New York; her nephew, Jayden Daniel of Enfield; her maternal and paternal aunts and uncles, Veronica Snipes (Kendrick Thorpe), Gwendolyn Burton (James) of Semora, Barbara Bradsher, Robert Bradsher (Deborah), Sharn Bradsher (Mary); Vanessa Simmons (Keith) of Enfield; her godparents, Arthur and Lisa Torain; and cousins, Autum and Austin Torain of Hurdle Mills; 21 great-uncles and aunts; and a host of other special relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church,1851 Cedar Grove Church Road, Roxboro, NC 27574, with the Rev. Dwight Wilkerson providing the eulogy and the Rev. Richard Johnson presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home Thursday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the family present during the last hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her parents, 1159 Old Allensville Rd., Roxboro, NC 27574.

The body will lie in state in the church for one hour prior to the service.
