Students from Person High School attended the annual Hispanic Youth Summit (HCSHP) in Raleigh on March 23.

This event helps to promote higher education for hispanics in the area. There were around 16 hispanic youths from PHS, along with a few representing teachers.

There were keynote speakers and workshops included.

Sophomore student Juan Garibaldi says, “they talked to us about college and what we want to do [with our future].”

Garibaldi states he would attend this event again.

¨They told us to be studious and do everything you have to in class [to turn out good]¨.
