PERSON COUNTY SUCCESS INITIATIVE is now offering evening and daytime classes. If you are interested in learning about community resources, increasing your income, managing finances and qualifying for Habitat Housing, contact Sandi at The Christian Help Center, 336-599- 6070, for more information and to enroll. The next evening class us from 6-8 p.m., May 17. Dinner and childcare provided. Daytime classes available upon request.

The AMERICAN RED CROSS will be holding the following blood drives in May.

There will be a blood drive at Person County Red Cross, 605 Burlington Road, from 1:30-6 p.m. on May 24. Contact Dale Eggert at Person County American Red Cross, 336-597-2927 to make an appointment.

There will be a blood drive at Furniture Mart, 704 N. Madison Blvd., on the American Red Cross Bus from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 26. Free tshirts will be given away. Appointments can be made by calling Rosa Victoriano, 336- 583-8374 or by email: rosa. victoriano@redcross.org.

Also, on the day of the appointment, donors can save 15 minutes by going to https:// www.redcrossblood.org/ rapidpass to answer the pre-screening questions. You can either print your answers & bring them with you or have them emailed to yourself. Present your printed answers or show the bar code in your email to the phlebotomist that calls you back.
