Retha Outlaw Rogers

Retha Outlaw Rogers, 65, of 326 Roy Rogers Road, died Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her home. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Outlaw and Lucille Jones Outlaw Bell, who survives. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Outlaw Wooten. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a school teacher for many years in the Person County School System. She was a teacher at Oak Lane Elementary School for most of her career.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Keith Rogers; three children, Carrie Rogers Garrity and husband, Shane of Cary, Regina Rogers Poole and husband, Shaun of Huntersville, and Andrew Roy Rogers of Huntersville; three grandchildren, Alayna Poole, Jackson Garrity, and Colin Garrity.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Antioch Baptist Church. 

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Antioch Baptist Church with the Dr. M. David Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be the Antioch Baptist Church Deacons.
