Nell Remell Whitt Morris

MILTON — Nell Remell Whitt Morris, 76, of 466 Snatchburg Road, formerly of Roxboro, died Saturday morning July 21, 2018 at her home. Born in Person County daughter of the late Joseph Percy Whitt and Susie Odell Smith Whitt; in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Whitt, Joseph “Skeeter” Whitt, John “Nat” Whitt, and Allen Whitt, and one sister Dorothy Whitt Martin. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker, wonderful cook, and of the Baptist faith. Nell was a wonderfully kind woman. She loved everyone and always looked for the best in all she met. Even though Nell didn’t give birth to any children of her own she was a mama to many, and a second mama to her brothers. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Surviving are her husband of over 32 years, Tony Morris of the home, step daughter Kristy Carver (Jimmy) and step grandchildren April James, Stephanie James, Jessica Carver, and Tina Carver all of Roxboro; five brothers Roger Whitt, Glen Whitt (Wilma), Ben Whitt (Carolyn) all of Milton, Harry Whitt (Terrie Lynn) of Semora, Gene Whitt (Ann) of Roxboro. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family received friends 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Monday July 23, 2018 at Harrelson Funeral Services and other times at the home.

Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Harrelson Funeral Services Chapel by the Rev. Dr. Larry Cain. Interment followed in the Whitt- Pleasant Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her nephews.
