Another year of great support

To the editor:

In Person County we have so many reasons to say thank you, and in fear of missing someone, we want to refrain from listing names, but for every thought, gesture, donation, support, gift or contribution this year and especially during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our GALA was extra awesome. So thank you for all that you have done. It has been a busy year, but with your help it has been a year of growth, learning and new vision. There is so much more work to do.

We are so proud to report, that each of our clients had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, a warm place and a happy heart. Christmas is in abundance for each person who signed up for help. With extra funds we were even able to give more than in the previous year.

A special thanks to all the churches, organizations, businesses, sororities, private donors, and so many others who helped in so many capacities with our Domestic Violence Awareness Month Gala, stew fund raisers and then those who just brought in donations as part of what you do. Thank you.

To our clients, if you signed up for help at Christmas, please be sure to make contact with Safe Haven prior to close of business Dec. 20 (except for shelter clients) so that we can get you the items for your children/family or yourself.

Safe Haven of Person County, Inc. is proud to be part of such a caring community. Even in the midst of so much chaos you always take care of your own. While we wish we could save the world and assist everyone who comes through our doors, it’s our desire that we can keep our clients as safe as possible with your help.

As we wind down yet another year, with so many memories, some sad, some joyful but through it all we made it thus far and we must remember to always be find and take care of each other. From the executive board of directors and our entire organization, may you have a blessed Christmas holiday season and a joyous New Year. Our hope is that 2020 be one of your best years ever.
