Donna Hazel Bostic Thomas, 83, of Roxboro, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020. Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Larry Thomas Bostic and Maddie Mae Lanier Bostic. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael Douglas Bullock and her 10 siblings.
Mrs. Thomas retired from the former South Boston Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Thomas loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed watching the birds.
Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Joseph William “Bill” Thomas of Roxboro; her daughter, Jackie Thomas Swanik and husband, Mark of Timberlake; sister, Pattie Sue Fields of Nashville; granddaughter, Cassidy Lynn Swanik; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020 at the Brooks & White Chapel and other times at the home of Jackie and Mark Swanik (162 River Bend Drive, Timberlake, NC 27583).
Funeral service was Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 at Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Cline officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
