Monday, Feb. 13
1 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering on Ridge Road. The total estimated loss was $1,008.
Wednesday, Feb. 15
2:27 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of trespassing on North Foushee Street.
Thursday, Feb. 16
7:38 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $109.
8:44 a.m. – Juan Diego Uribe, 26, of Nicks Lane, South Hill, Virginia, was charged with a felony drug offense. Uribe was placed under a $7,000 unsecured bond.
10:27 a.m. – Hayven Nycole Newcomb, 27, of Ellyson Avenue, South Boston, Virginia, was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and felony possession of methamphetamine. Newcomb was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
10:32 a.m. – Kayla Martin Hite, 34, of Virgilina Road, Virgilina, Virginia, was charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and felony possession of methamphetamine. Hite was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
11:21 a.m. – Carlos Rolando Garcia-Rax, 40, of Woody Street, Roxboro was charged with felony statutory rape or a sex offense with a defendant 6 years old or older. Garcia-Rax was placed under a $5 million secured bond.
1:06 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of obtaining property by false pretense at Lowes Home Improvement on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $799.
Friday, Feb. 17
5:41 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of discharging a firearm into occupied property on Cleveland Lane.
6:29 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a discharged weapon on Kerr Drive.
Saturday, Feb. 18
11:39 p.m. – Eric James Farr, 27, of Oxford Road, Timberlake, was charged with two counts of felony possession of a schedule II, III or IV controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Farr was placed under a $7,000 unsecured bond.
5:28 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny form a motor vehicle on Clayton Avenue. The total estimated loss was $802.
5:46 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of trespassing on Mt. Bethel Church Street.
7:55 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny from a motor vehicle on Clayton Avenue. The total estimated loss was $520.
8 p.m. – Officers conducted a death investigation on Ridge Road.
Monday, Feb. 20
8:58 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Windridge Court.
9:11 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering on Somerset Drive.
9:26 p.m. – Officers conducted a death investigation on Frank Street.
10:30 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of shots fired on Bumpass Lane.

Monday, Feb. 13
10:15 a.m. – William Andrew Myers, 32, of Winchester Road, Rougemont, was taken into custody on warrants for two counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child 15 years old or younger, felony statutory rape of a child and felony statutory rape of a child 15 years old or younger. Myers was placed under a $300,000 secured bond.
3:28 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a code black on Cross Creek Court in Timberlake.
6:44 p.m. – Deputies conducted a welfare check on Durham Road in Timberlake.
7:10 p.m. – Deputies conducted a welfare check on Gravitte Road.
Tuesday, Feb. 14
12:52 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Maurice Daniels Road.
4:58 p.m. – Christopher David Baker, 28, of Katmandu Drive, Roxboro, was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana. Baker was placed under a $20,000 unsecured bond.
Wednesday, Feb. 15
8:40 a.m. – Christopher Michael Hammock, 36, of Hurdle Mills Road, Hurdle Mills, was charged with failure to appear for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, failure to appear for felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, failure to appear for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear for misdemeanor larceny. Hammock was placed under a $2,000 secured bond.
11:15 a.m. – Charles Lee Baker, 32, of Antioch Church Road, Timberlake, was taken into custody on warrants for obtaining property by false pretense and two counts of felony larceny of a motor vehicle. Baker was placed under a $17,000 secured bond.
10 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of simple assault on Durham Road.
The crime reports section will only regularly feature the names and information of those charged with felony crimes. If a situation warrants, those charged with misdemeanors may also appear.
As much as possible, staff will do its best to include as much about the incidents that law enforcement respond to in the timely manner that is reported to us. Some incidents will not be available in the issue immediately following the date of the incident.
