Tuesday, Feb. 21
11:55 p.m. – Brooklyn Smith, 20, of Alpine Drive, Danville, Va., was taken into custody on a fugitive warrant from Virginia. Smith was held without bond.
Wednesday, Feb. 22
5:20 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of trespassing at Hardees on North Madison Boulevard.
8:40 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of an overdose on Woodlawn Avenue.
3:03 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of trespassing on Cleveland Lane.
5:51 p.m. – Ashanti Daekrika Pettiford, 29, of Boston Road, Roxboro, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Pettiford was placed under a $20,000 secured bond.
Thursday, Feb. 23
9:47 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of injury to personal property on Green Street.
11:52 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny on North Main Street.
1:20 p.m. – Norman Alexander Schofield, 56, of Kaplan Court, Durham, was taken into custody on warrants for eight counts of felony breaking and entering, eight counts of felony larceny and nine counts of misdemeanor injury to personal property, all from Durham. Schofield was placed under a $50,000 secured bond.
3:38 p.m. – Terry Leon Thompson, 52, of Jean Street, Roxboro, was charged with felony statutory rape or a sexual offense with a defendant 6-years-old or older. Thompson was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.
Friday, Feb. 24
1:58 p.m. – Terry Leon Thompson, 52, of Jean Street, Roxboro, was charged with felony first degree kidnapping. Thompson was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.
2:23 p.m. – Cameron Lee Roberts, 31, of Riggs Road, Burlington, was taken into custody on a warrant for felony identity theft from Alamance County. Roberts was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
5:45 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny at Food Lion on North Madison Boulevard. The total estimated loss was $136.
7:10 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny at Food Lion on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $80.
11:28 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of an overdose on South Madison Boulevard.
Saturday, Feb. 25
1 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny at Sheetz on North Madison Boulevard. The total estimated loss was $21.
1:03 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny on North Madison Boulevard. The total estimated loss was $13.
1:35 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Sheetz on North Madison Boulevard. The total estimated loss was $39.
8:43 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of trespassing at Food Mart on Depot Street.
11:47 a.m. – Officers conducted a death investigation on North Morgan Street.
11:35 p.m. – Ka-leigh Jeanine Gunter, 22, of Pointer Street, Roxboro, was charged with a felony unnamed fentanyl offense. Gunter was placed under a $30,000 secured bond.
Sunday, Feb. 26
12 a.m. – Ka-leigh Jeanine Gunter, 22, of Pointer Street, Roxboro, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit a felony and misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer. Gunter was placed under a $30,000 secured bond.
12:29 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $211.
4:24 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of vandalism on Newell Street.
11:29 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny of a firearm on Jones Street. The total estimated loss was $550.
Person County Sheriff’s Office
Tuesday, Feb. 21
12 p.m. – Dustin Craig Davis, 26, of Morton Drive, Burlington, was charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer. Davis was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.
6:26 p.m. – Trecia Sanford, 52, of Alva Oakley Road, Roxboro, was charged with felony assaulting a law enforcement officer inflicting serious injury, misdemeanor assaulting a government official, misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer. Sanford was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
Wednesday, Feb. 22
7:35 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a cardiac arrest on Oxford Road.
1:30 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of assault by pointing a gun on Burlington Road.
3:48 p.m. – Stephen Michael Clark, 29, of Willie Gray Road, Timberlake, was charged with felony injury to property obtaining nonferrous metals. Clark was placed under a $40,000 secured bond.
Thursday, Feb. 23
12:25 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Henderson Road.
11:15 a.m. – Aarin Keron Johnson, 22, of Surl- Mt. Tirzah Road, Roxboro, was charged with felony possession of a schedule VI controlled substance, misdemeanor simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and taken into custody on warrants for felony second degree burglary and larceny after breaking and entering. Johnson was placed under a $40,000 secured bond.
11:20 a.m. - Deputies took a report for identity theft on Reaves Lane in Semora.
2:50 p.m. – Raekwon Trequal Metz, 27, of Shannon Drive, Oxford, was taken into custody on warrants for two counts of felony probation violations from Granville County. Metz was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
1:19 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of property damage on Willie Gray Road.
11:08 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of breaking and entering on Cavel-Chub Lake Road.
Friday, Feb. 24
12:02 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Evelyn Day Road.
1:52 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of trespassing on Hunters Edge Drive in Timberlake.
The crime reports section will only regularly feature the names and information of those charged with felony crimes. If a situation warrants, those charged with misdemeanors may also appear.
As much as possible, staff will do its best to include as much about the incidents that law enforcement respond to in the timely manner that is reported to us. Some incidents will not be available in the issue immediately following the date of the incident.
