Monday, Jan. 30
8:29 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and vandalism on Durham Road. The total estimated damage was $30.
10:02 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of forced entry on Webb Street.
Tuesday, Jan. 31
1:22 p.m. – Marquis Ja’Quan Torain, 26, of Shale Circle, Roxboro, was charged with manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of a controlled substance near a school. Torain was placed under a $75,000 secured bond.
5:07 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of forgery at Dollar General on North Madison Boulevard.
7:11 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity on South Morgan Street.
8:51 p.m. – Thierry Randall Painter, 26, of Reade Drive, Roxboro, was charged with felony dissemination of obscenity, misdemeanor cyberstalking, misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Painter was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
Wednesday, Feb. 1
3:04 a.m. – Richard Lee Bowes, 55, of North Main Street Roxboro, was charged with three felony unnamed drug offenses. Bowes was placed under a $50,000 secured bond.
3:06 a.m. – Rachel Lynn Cothran, 46, of McGhees Mill Road, Semora, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit a felony. Cothran was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
Thursday, Feb. 2
8:25 a.m. – Arthur Lee Allen, 24, of Usher Street, Durham, was taken into custody on a warrant for felony larceny by an employee out of Orange County.
5:59 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Cody Street.
8:46 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of blackmail on Sandstone Way.
Friday, Feb. 3
12:19 p.m. – Officers conducted a welfare check on Griles Street.
1:38 a.m. – Karl Malik McLaurin, 24, of Shale Circle, Roxboro, was charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for use, sale or storage of controlled substances, felony manufacture, sale, delivery or possession of a controlled substance near a school, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and felony conspiracy to commit a felony. McLaurin was placed under a $150,000 secured bond.

Monday, Jan. 30
11:27 a.m. – James Franklin Milam, 53, of Shale Circle, Roxboro, was taken into custody on warrants for felony obtaining property by false pretenses and misdemeanor worthless check. Milam was placed under a $2,600 unsecured bond.
10:40 p.m. – Benjamin Freeman, 64, of N.C. Highway 39 North, Henderson, was charged with felony trafficking heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine and posession of a controlled substance on jail premises. Freeman was placed under a $75,000 secured bond.
11:18 p.m. – Steven Ray Englebright, 50, of Halifax Road, Roxboro, was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and misdemeanor second-degree trespassing and two counts of misdemeanor larceny from Wake County. Englebright was placed under a $11,000 secured bond.
Tuesday, Jan. 31
9 a.m. – Jerry Barr Jones, 51, of Leesburg, Fla., was charged with two counts of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for use, sale or storage of controlled substances and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones was placed under a $75,000 secured bond.
9 a.m. – Jerry Barr Jones, 51, of Leesburg, Fla., was taken into custody on warrants for felony fleeing arrest with a motor vehicle, misdemeanor assaulting a government official, misdemeanor injury to personal property and failure to appear on 16 other misdemeanor offenses. Jones was placed under a $30,000 secured bond.
8:49 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on North Ridge Circle.
Wednesday, Feb. 1
12:35 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Hurdle Mills Road.
Thursday, Feb. 2
4:23 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of property damage on Allie Clay Road.
Friday, Feb. 3
11:23 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Pulliam-Tingen Mine Road.
11:34 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of trespassing on Teny’s Lane in Rougemont.
7:52 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at Olive Hill Park on Semora Road.
10 p.m. – Deputies responded with EMS to a psychiatric call on Or Burgess Drive in Rougemont.
Saturday, Feb. 4
3:11 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Carl Adcock Road.
11:18 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of larceny on Durham Road in Timberlake.
10:44 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of injury to personal property on Wheeler’s Church Road in Hurdle Mills.
Sunday, Feb. 5
5:39 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Honeysuckle Lane.

As much as possible, staff will do its best to include as much about the incidents that law enforcement respond to in the timely manner that is reported to us. Some incidents will not be available in the issue immediately following the date of the incident.
