5:51 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny at Walmart on Durham Road.

8:57 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of neglect of a disabled or elderly person on North Main Street.
9:35 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of identity theft on Thaxton Road.
10:06 a.m. – Tycoy Dayshon Pettiford, 20, of Shale Circle, Roxboro, was charged with two counts of felony possession of a firearm by a felon. Pettiford was placed under a $60,000 secured bond.
10:49 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of obtaining property by false pretenses at Southern States on North Main Street.
Thursday, Jan. 12
7:15 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering at the Timberland Motel on North Madison Boulevard.
4:35 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of assault by strangulation on Broad Street.
Friday, Jan. 13
3 p.m. – Jea’ron Anthony Rogers, 27, of Lawson Chapel Church Road, Roxboro, was charged with felony soliciting gang activity. Rogers was placed under a $20,000 unsecured bond.
8:11 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of property damage on Old Durham Road.
Sunday, Jan. 15
4:42 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny on North Madison Boulevard. The total estimated loss was $1,000.
Monday, Jan. 16
10:06 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of lost property on Durham Road.
8:25 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of counterfeiting on Durham Road.

12:11 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny on Hidden Hills Road.

7:27 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Cavel-Chub Lake Road.
Friday, Jan. 13
12:40 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Service Road.
7 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Rudy’s Farm Road in Hurdle Mills.
Saturday, Jan. 14
10:12 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Skylark Drive in Semora.
Sunday, Jan. 15
10:55 a.m. – Brian Keith Jones Jr., 39, of Everett Lane in Providence, was charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and felony larceny after breaking and entering.
10:30 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Burlington Road.
Monday, Jan. 16
12:57 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of simple assault on Wheeler’s Church Road in Hurdle Mills.
2:05 p.m. – Deputies conducted a welfare check on Dan Winstead Road.
2:21 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of breaking and entering on Thomas Green Road.

As much as possible, staff will do its best to include as much about the incidents that law enforcement respond to in the timely manner that is reported to us. Some incidents will not be available in the issue immediately following the date of the incident.
