9:02 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of obtaining property by false pretenses on Shelton Road. The total estimated loss was $336.
Monday, Feb. 6
10:59 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Walmart on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $703.
9:07 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Booth Street.
9:18 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of vandalism on Shale Circle. The total estimated damage was $236.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
12:08 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of wire fraud on Leasburg Road. The total estimated loss was $376.
7:13 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity on Barnette Avenue.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
11:15 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of obtaining property by false pretenses at Walmart on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $64.
11:54 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny on Magnolia Drive. The total estimated loss was $1,450.
2:33 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of wire fraud on Leasburg Road. The total estimated loss was $744.
4:07 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of fraud on North Madison Boulevard.
Thursday, Feb. 9
11:19 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of vandalism on Barnett Avenue. The total estimated damage was $400.
1:23 p.m. – Destiny Monique Dawson, 21, of Austyn Avenue, Roxboro, was taken into custody for a felony parole/probation offense out of Durham. Dawson was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.
5:08 p.m. – Cecil Lewis Campbell, 43, of Crystal Springs Drive, Timberlake, was charged with felony failure to appear. Campbell was placed under a $20,000 secured bond.
9:53 p.m. – Carlos Rolando Garcia-Rax, 40, of Woody Street, was charged with felony indecent liberties with children. Garcia-Rax was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.
Friday, Feb. 10
4:23 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of injury to real property on Depot Street.
8:02 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering on Pointer Street.
Saturday, Feb. 11
7:53 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering on Depot Street.
10:28 a.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering and larceny on Old Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $3,450.
2:14 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of larceny of motor vehicle parts/accessories on Durham Road. The total estimated loss was $231.
5:53 p.m. – Bradley Maurice Ragland, 21, of Northside View, Roxboro, was charged with felony fleeing or eluding arrest. Ragland was placed under a $7,000 secured bond.
6:18 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of trespassing on Durham Road.
7:06 p.m. – Carlos Gonzalo Gonzalex-Fregozo, 43, of Austyn Avenue, Roxboro, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Gonzalez-Fregozo was placed under a $2,500 secured bond.
Sunday, Feb. 12
12:13 a.m. – Cameron Lee Roberts, 30, of Pointer Street, Roxboro, was taken into custody on warrants from Onslow County for felony parole/probation offense and misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer. Roberts was placed under a $21,000 secured bond.
1:04 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Reams Avenue.
Person County Sheriff’s Office
Tuesday, Feb. 7
4:20 p.m. – Christopher Richard Glasscock, 22, of Dusty Trail Road, Timberlake, was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses. Glasscock was placed under a $7,000 unsecured bond.
6:08 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a missing juvenile on West King Road. The child was later located.
7:23 p.m. – William Earl Napier, 50, of Lawson Chapel Church Road, Roxboro, was charged with five counts of felony aiding and abetting forgery and five counts of felony uttering a forged instrument. Napier was placed under a $60,500 secured bond.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
9:49 a.m. – Jerry Barr Jones, 51, of South Street, Leesburg, Fla., was taken into custody on a warrant for felony assault with a deadly weapon on a government official. Jones was placed under a $20,000 secured bond.
6 p.m. – Charles Lee Baker III, 32, of Rogers Road, Durham was charged with 17 counts of felony breaking or entering a motor vehicle and seven counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering. Baker was placed under a $75,000 secured bond. Barker was later charged with one count of felony larceny and five counts of felony breaking or entering into a motor vehicle and placed under a $50,000 secured bond.
11:07 p.m. – Ashley Neal Hersey, 47, of Deer Creek Lane, Timberlake, was charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Hersey was placed under a $7,000 unsecured bond.
Thursday, Feb. 9
8:41 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of an overdose on Christy’s Way in Timberlake.
8:14 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of an overdose on Old Cedar Drive in Hurdle Mills.
Saturday, Feb. 11
3:12 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Howard Vaughn Road in Rougemont.
Monday, Feb. 13
12:30 a.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a missing person on Miller Road in Timberlake.
The crime reports section will only regularly feature the names and information of those charged with felony crimes. If a situation warrants, those charged with misdemeanors may also appear.
As much as possible, staff will do its best to include as much about the incidents that law enforcement respond to in the timely manner that is reported to us. Some incidents will not be available in the issue immediately following the date of the incident.
