Miss Lula Virginia “Jennie” Wagstaff, age 87, departed this life Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro. She was born in Person County, May 10, 1935 to the late John Andrew and Ruth Ann Brooks Wagstaff and was an active member of the Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Miss Wagstaff was an educator and taught in the Person and Granville County school systems, was a member of the Eta Phi Beta Sorority and the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Association.
