Lost our collective minds

We hold fair elections and then allow the loser to cause an insurrection by claiming voter fraud. Now, this lose wants to abolish the Constitution. Just who does he and his rebel rousers think they are? His band of rebel rousers are wearing patches that similar in shape and color of the Army Ranger’s Tab. None of these overweight clowns would make a good scab on an Army Ranger’s backside.

When Trump was president, he played the military like a fiddle. He fired those who disagreed with him and replaced them with little puppets. He called the military, “My Military” and “My Generals”. He is not a king.

During the Trump era, where was our military? They stood by while he attempted to overthrow the government. One of our top generals walked with Trump through tear gas, while Trump held a Bible upside down. These were not the tough old Ranger Officers and NCO’s that trained me.

In 1960 at the age of 18, I became an Army Paratrooper, while stationed in Mainz, Germany. I was commanded by Captain Anthony B. Herbert who was the most dedicated soldier during the Korean War. He wrote a book called, “Soldier”. In Germany, he actually had us train under Otto Skorzeny in Pau, France, it is in the book, pages 83-88. My photo appears in the group, second row from the right. His book can be found in the Public Library. I can personally verify everything he wrote about B Co. 1st 505th Infantry in Mainz, Germany.

I was there.

All of our officers and NCO’s were Army Rangers.

In Germany, my squad leader was Jessie L. Johnson from Arkansas. He was a Sgt. E-5 at the time, he later became a colonel and was Norman Schwarzkopf’s book about how, Jessie L. Johnson captured Kuwait without Schwarzkopf’s permission and was told to give it back so that the Kuwaite Army could liberate their already liberated country. Strange but true.

Where have the real soldiers gone, the Eisenhowers, MacArthurs, Bradleys, Chesly Pullers, Anthony B. Herberts and Col. Johnsons. We need them now.

Herbert made us hard as woodpecker’s lips. I noticed in his book, he left out the illegal parachute jump we made being trained by Otto. We made a parachute drop in a rainstorm at night at 750 feet. This violates Army Jump procedures. I was a machine gunner on that jump. We camped at Lourdes, France, just outside of the Shrine for St. Bernadett. Like everything else the, phonies take over. These phonies forced Herbert to retire in Vietnam as an LTC. One thing they failed to realize, Herbert did not send his troops into battle. He led them in battle, up front with the troops. Although he is deceased, his Airborne Ranger spirit will live forever and so will he legend.
