Diamond Rockets knock off Western Alamance

PHS senior starting pitcher Levi Strader got the win after tossing five innings of two-hit shutout ball, allowing four walks and striking out eight.

Senior Carter Stacey pitched the final two innings for the Rockets, giving up one run on one hit and a walk with four strikeouts to get the save

Strader, sophomore Keeghan Holmes, senior Lee Womack and senior William Ragan collected a base hit each to help the Rockets hang four on the scoreboard. 

Junior Dylan England drove in a run on a sacrifice fly. 

Person also successfully stole five bases– two by junior Brady Blackwell, one by Holmes and one each by senior Dalton Langford and sophomore Ian Downey. 

After traveling to Northern Durham on Wednesday, the Rockets return home to play Western Alamance Thursday at 7 p.m. for their third game in three days.
