Olivias power Bulldog tennis team in split week

Olivia Ess and Olivia Godard anchored RCS through the split week, winning both of their singles matches.

Ess defeated her Vance Charter (0-4) opponent, 8-2, in the third-seeded singles match. She then took down Orange’s (10-2, 5-1)Makayla Davis, 9-7.

Godard win with ease – an 8-0 thumping in the five-seeded singles match against Vance Charter, then an 8-2 triumph against Orange’s Grace Allred in the sixth singles match.

The Bulldogs blanked Vance Charter in every match except two. They came close against Orange in a couple more matchups – RCS five seed Aurora Bettendorf fell in an 8-4 clash with Madelyn Horn, while Kirklyn Owen and Rachel Green lost to Horn and Grace Allred by an 8-4 mark in the third doubles match.

The Bulldogs hosted first-place Voyager Academy in a rematch yesterday at 4 p.m. Results were not available by press time.
