The largely-inexperienced Rockets also lost to Williams, 62-41, on Friday to wrap up the regular season as PHS celebrated seniors Kayla Brown and Kyaya Hughes. “We’ve actually gotten better as the season has gone on, but we play in a killer conference,” Person head coach Jeff Mangum said. Conference foes Northwood (No. 7), Western Alamance (No. 9) and Williams (No. 10) are all among the top 10 of the NCHSAA’s 3A East RPI ratings.Mangum is hopeful that his returners will commit to working hard over the summer and be more competitive next season.
