Orange High School transfers Kaedyn and Kinzy Rowney helped the Roxboro Community School volleyball team sweep Excelsior Classical Academy, 25-8, 25-11, 25-13, Wednesday night in the Dog House.
Kaedyn led the Bulldogs (5-3) with four kills, while Kinzy added three.
RCS served up 37 aces, scoring nearly half its points from the service line. Carmela Peeples served up 10 aces, a season high for the Bulldogs.
Mary Quinn Hurdle continued to play well on the front row, blocking a team-high two attacks.

Middle school wins in straight sets
The RCS middle school volleyball squad swept Excelsior, 25-9, 25-13, in its second game of the fall campaign Wednesday afternoon.

The Roxboro Community School varsity volleyball team swept J.F. Webb in three sets, 25-13, 25-22, 26-24, Friday night on the road for its third consecutive win.
Webb’s (5-4) Courtney Williams, however, did her best to try and prevent the Bulldogs (5-3) from running out of the gym.
Williams led the host Warriors with 17 kills and four aces. She blocked six Bulldog (5-3) attacks and dug out 12 more, one of four Webb players to reach the double-digit dig mark.
RCS hosted archrival Voyager Academy yesterday, at 7 p.m., for its second Triangle North Conference matchup. Results were not available by press time.
