Morgan VanderPoppen steps up to help RCS cross-country team

As the Roxboro Community School (RCS) co-ed cross country team closed out its regular season on Tuesday, Oct.18, Morgan VanderPoppen, a 12th-grade student at RCS, assisted the squad in their meet at Eno River Academy. 

According to the NCHSAA rule book, each team requires at least five girls to be considered a team. Prior to VanderPoppen stepping in, the girls’ squad was always short on runners so they could never be regarded as a legitimate team. VanderPoppen expressed her enjoyment during the meet and VanderPoppen said she enjoyed helping out and spoke highly of her teammates about her recent teammates.
